Football Banquet
I was able to get through the entire 2 hour( 93 boys-each presented w/ a certificate and hugging EVERY coach) presentation without losing it! Well almost...but it was the end, and nobody really saw me bawling my eyes out. Brody was so funny-he saw me and shouted " You're going to do this now!"
And then at home I watched his highlight DVD twice and cried through the whole thing! I can't help it-I'm so proud of him, and I've turned into Chana-who cries at everything!

This is Coach Miller (my camera was taking crappy pics) We love coach Miller
Brody, Anthony, and Tracy
Brody and Shaun
Katsos, Breeze, and Hansen
One last huddle......so sad
Anthony, Tracy, and Mookie before every game in the locker room would goof around and dance and sing to "Party in the USA "(Ellie would love that)
Not that I would know that personally- but the coach called them all up and had them show everyone. (they didn't think the coaches ever knew)

#23
After a very long tryout process....Hunter made it! Riverton High has a 8th grade basketball team and his first games were Friday and Saturday. We lost one but we won two! Hunter plays a 4 and 5 (I know Josh-he needs to be a 3 & 4) but he is one of the tallest kids on the team-so he will have to be a center until the other shrimpy kids grow. Anywho-I was a little sad that football was over but the sadness didn't last very long and Brody has a well deserved rest. If any of you are interested, Hunter's next game is on 12/2 at 9pm at West High. GO SILVERWOLVES!
Thai Soup
As most of you know, I am far from Betty Crocker. I really don't cook-I can cook but I just prefer not to. But I'd like to say that when I do cook something...it's spectacular! Bret went to Thailand on his mission so I have been getting really good at cooking thai food, it's super easy and cheap and very healthy. You should try it, here is a recipe for Tom Yum Gai (sweet/sour/spicy soup) and this metal container with this Bamboo thing is for sticky rice. All this was like $20.00 and you should be able to get this at any thai store. There is a good one in the shopping center at 6200 S. and just west of Bangeter Hwy.
4 c chicken cooked
3 c chicken broth
3.5 oz straw mushrooms
6 cherry tomatoes in halves
1 fresh lemon grass
2-3 kaffir lime leaves
3 Tbsp thai fish sauce
4 Tbsp lime juice
1/2 tsp sugar
5-6 Hot Thai chilies(these are super hot)
Bring to a boil for 7 min

The Stein Erickson Lodge
On Saturday night we went up to Park City, it was fabulous! Our room was a huge suite with a private deck and hot tub overlooking the mountain side. It also came with a 3 course dinner and Sunday Brunch, I know it's on a Sunday Chana and Raegan- but I would highly recommend it. (and Bret and I know food!)
